Learning Disabilities
Learning disabilities in children are neurological conditions that affect the brain's ability to process and understand information in specific areas, such as reading, writing, mathematics, or coordination. These disabilities are not related to intelligence but can make learning in traditional ways difficult. Common types include:
Dyslexia
Dyscalculia
Dysgraphia
Auditory Processing Disorder
Visual Processing Disorder
Children with learning disabilities often need specialized support and teaching strategies to help them succeed in school and daily life. Early identification and intervention can lead to significant improvement and help children build confidence in their abilities.
Each assessment will include a detailed report with tailored recommendations and a personalized feedback session.
After completing the initial evaluation of your child, a report is shared with you during the feedback session. During this feedback session, I explain the assessment results in detail, highlighting your child’s strengths, areas of need, and any relevant observations or diagnoses. Once we’ve discussed the results, I provide specific recommendations for classroom accommodations, therapeutic supports, or strategies you can use at home to help your child thrive.
If additional resources or referrals are needed, I guide you in accessing them. My aim is to ensure you leave with actionable steps and the confidence to support your child effectively, while building a strong foundation for our ongoing collaboration.
